My name is Katrina Narasimhan. I am a registered nurse with a Master in Health Science by training, a mother of two gorgeous children, the business manager of my husband’s busy Cardiology practice, but my favourite thing to do is be creative!
I am a country girl, born in Kempsey, grew up in Hat Head but moved to Adelaide with my family when I was five. After completing my schooling, we relocated to Brisbane where I completed my Bachelors Degree in Nursing. I met my future husband Sesh when we worked together in the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
We moved to Newcastle for his general cardiology training. Whilst he trained, I completed my Masters Degree in Health Science. As a part of his training, we relocated to Tamworth for 12 months where Sesh secured his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in New York, where we lived for a year. It was fantastic! Sesh then secured an advanced Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Canada for another year. We moved to Edmonton where I worked as a research nurse.
After settling down in Taree, we have been blessed with gorgeous children, Zeke (6) and Matilda (3). Recently, we have expanded our family with the addition of Charlie – an absolutely gorgeous Cavoodle!
The one thing I loved to do is to be creative. Whether it be cross stitching, baking, or furniture restoration. Currently, I am enjoying a new found artform; acrylic pour and resin art. Acrylic pour, as it is known, is a technique that uses acrylic paint and additives that is poured onto a medium. This can be then sealed with resin. I have used canvas, timber serving/cutting boards, bowls, jewellery, clocks & furniture. Alternatively, tinted resin can be used.
My creative pursuits have benefited my family and friends, and now I create special pieces for everyone to enjoy.
