Dear Editor,
We are about to enjoy roadworks once again on BlackHead Road. If my information is correct the developer of the Caravan opposite Tallwoods was required to construct a temporary (you read right –temporary) roundabout at a cost of approximately $120,000 I believe.
Now all roadworks are welcome – but a duplication – or if you like a permanent roundabout – with works commencing in October does seem unnecessary.
Why temporary – and is it a waste of money or what ? Too late to wind back the process as the roundabout (or its approaches and surrounds) were certainly temporary – but not too bad – certainly not as bad as the intersection of Black Head Road and Lakes Way (another prang there last week) !!
What do other people think ?
